Top Teleport Operators

The Independent Top Twenty ranks teleport operators based on revenue from all sources. The list focuses on the independent operators at the core of the business, excluding companies whose primary business is ownership and operation of a satellite fleet or terrestrial network. The Independent Top Twenty of 2014 are:

Harris CapRock (USA) Harris CapRock delivers world-class satellite communications to the world's harshest and most remote locations. With teleports in the US, Europe and Asia, the company provides services that enable its clients to communicate in real-time virtually anywhere in the world.
2. GlobeCast (France) A subsidiary of France Telecom, GlobeCast is a content management and delivery company operating a network of teleports and fiber to manage and transport 10 million hours of video and other rich media yearly.
3. Arqiva Broadcast & Media (UK) Arqiva is a provider of co-located broadband satellite and broadcast services and is the trusted expert in content storage, manipulation, management and delivery. The company was named as Teleport Operator of the Year in 2003 and again in 2007.
4. Encompass Digital Media (USA) Encompass owns and operates state-of-the-art, broadcast facilities throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Asia. The company’s mission-critical, media services provide broadcasters, cable networks, corporations and government entities with customized solutions for the management and distribution of content.
5. Telespazio S.p.A. (Italy) Telespazio, a joint venture between Finmeccanica (67%) and Thales (33%), is one of the world’s leading players in satellite services. The company, headquartered in Rome, Italy, employs approximately 2500 people. It relies on an international network of space centres and teleports and operates worldwide through many subsidiaries.
6. TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (Government Services) (USA) With teleports in Manassas, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, and Germany, TCS offers the flexibility and end-to-end solution needed for today's mission-critical communications.
7. Globecomm (Services revenue) (USA) Globecomm integrates satellite into network applications in order to provide reliable, high-quality connection to the edge of the network, broadcast one-to-many, and support bandwidth-hungry applications for media & entertainment, telecom, enterprise and government markets.
8. Emerging Markets Communications (USA) EMC is a U.S. telecommunications provider delivering end-to-end satellite and terrestrial solutions throughout the remote regions of the world.
9. RR Media (Israel) RR Media provides uplink, downlink, turnaround and playout services, offering end-to-end transmission for TV, radio and data channels. RRsat also offers production services including channel distribution and backhaul services, SNG and occasional feed services.
10. Spacenet (USA) Spacenet is a Managed Network Services provider who designs, implements and manages secure communication networks for some of the nation’s largest business, industrial and government organizations. 
11. du (UAE) du provides a variety of integrated services including quad-play data, video and content services over fixed as well as mobile networks to residential and enterprise customers across the UAE.
12. Essel Shyam Communications (India) Essel Shyam is a telecom/IT service provider offering customized solutions for the specific business needs of customers in segments including enterprises, broadcast & media companies, government security agencies along with various other customers.
13. Signalhorn Trusted Networks (Germany) A leading provider of global satellite and terrestrial communications, Signalhorn focuses on providing trusted and bespoke solutions to large enterprises, institutions and government organisations.
14. Axesat (Colombia) Axesat SA is a Colombian company with 10 years of experience in the satellite communications market with operations in Colombia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Central America and Mexico.
15. Satlink Communications (Israel) Satlink Communications is a provider of end-to-end solutions for content transmission over satellite platforms covering the Middle East and reaching all five continents.
16. Jordan Media City (Jordan) The WTA 2012 Independent Teleport Operator of the Year. Located on a 40,000m square land area, Jordan Media City has a number of earth stations for reception and retransmission from Asian and European satellites to Nilesat 101, 102 and Arabsat 2D, 3A, 4A and Eutelsat (Hotbird).
17.
