Top Teleport Operators

The Independent Top Twenty ranks teleport operators based on revenue from all sources. The list focuses on the independent operators at the core of the business, excluding companies whose primary business is ownership and operation of a satellite fleet or terrestrial network. In 2011 four new operators joined the list – Cobbett Hill Earth station, Encompass Digital Media, Europe Media Port, and NewSat. In order from largest to smallest, the Independent Top Twenty of 2011 are:

Harris CapRock (USA) Haarris CapRock delivers world-class satellite communications to the world's harshest and most remote locations. With teleports in the US, Europe and Asia, the company provides services that enable its clients to communicate in real-time virtually anywhere in the world.
2.GlobeCast (France) A subsidiary of France Telecom, GlobeCast is a content management and delivery company operating a network of teleports and fiber to manage and transport 10 million hours of video and other rich media yearly.
3.Arqiva Broadcast & Media (UK) Arqiva is a provider of co-located broadband satellite and broadcast services and is the trusted expert in content storage, manipulation, management and delivery. The company was named as Teleport Operator of the Year in 2003 and again in 2007.
4.Globecomm Systems (USA) Globecomm integrates satellite into network applications in order to provide reliable, high-quality connection to the edge of the network, broadcast one-to-many, and support bandwidth-hungry applications for media & entertainment, telecom, enterprise and government markets.
5.RRsat Global Communications (Israel) RRsat provides uplink, downlink, turnaround and playout services, offering end-to-end transmission for TV, radio and data channels. RRsat also offers production services including channel distribution and backhaul services, SNG and occasional feed services.
6.Encompass Digital Media (USA) Encompass owns and operates state-of-the-art, broadcast facilities throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Asia. The company’s mission-critical, media services provide broadcasters, cable networks, corporations and government entities with customized solutions for the management and distribution of content.
7.TeleCommunication Systems (Government Services) (USA) With teleports in Manassas, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, and Germany, TCS offers the flexibility and end-to-end solution needed for today's mission-critical communications.
8.GE Satcom (Germany) GE Satcom is a provider of satellite broadband communication services throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. With two state-of-the-art teleports based in Germany and Switzerland, GE – Satcom accesses over 30 satellites; deploys more than 10,000 VSAT sites for enterprises, maritime and governmental customers.
9.du (UAE) du provides a variety of integrated services including quad-play data, video and content services over fixed as well as mobile networks to residential and enterprise customers across the UAE.
10.Telepuerto Internacional Buenos Aires (Argentina) TIBA provides content management and content distribution services to the major pan regional broadcasters, operating a state-of-the-art facility , serving more than 120 TV channels.
11.Satlink Communications (Israel) Satlink Communications is a provider of end-to-end solutions for content transmission over satellite platforms covering the Middle East and reaching all five continents.
12.Essel Shyam Communications (India) Essel Shyam is a telecom/IT service provider offering customized solutions for the specific business needs of customers in segments including enterprises, broadcast & media companies, government security agencies along with various other customers.
13.NewSat (Australia) As Australia’s leading independent satellite service provider, NewSat specialises in global satellite communications providing tailored VSAT, Teleport and satellite services to 75% of the earth’s surface. 14.Newcom International (USA)  Newcom is a global telecommunications firm that specializes in the delivery of innovative, customized communications solutions for businesses, governments and organizations.
15.Central European Telecom Services (Germany) CETel is a global provider of international Teleport & Satellite Services and Voice Termination with its headquarters in the heart of Germany.
16.CET Teleport (Germany) CET Teleport provides a wide range of media broadcasting and corporate VSAT services, as well as extensive disaster recovery facilities.
17.Jordan Media City (Jordan) Jordan Media city was launched in 2001 as the first private media city in the region with the aim of providing the regional and international media industry with a state of the art technologies.
18.ATCi (USA) ATCi offers end-to-end systems integration and technical services, including its proprietary Simulsat multibeam antenna, and Digital Headend Services from its Arizona teleport, to broadcast, cable and DTH content providers and cable MSOs and MDUs.
19.Cobbett-Hill Earth Station (UK) Cobbett-Hill is an independent Teleport offering a full range of Satellite Communication services for the Business and Government Community. The Teleport has been located In/Near to Guildford since 1996, less than 30 miles from London and operates a large number of antennas on a mix of geostationary satellites providing a wide range of services.
