Top Teleport Operators

The Independent Top Twenty ranks companies based on revenue from all sources, but excludes companies whose core business is ownership and operation of a satellite fleet or terrestrial network. Europe and the Middle East added three new operators to the list – Telespazio, Central European Telecom Services and M-Three Satcom. In order from largest to smallest, the Independent Top Twenty of 2009 are:

Stratos Global (USA) Stratos offers customers operating in remote locations a variety of wireless, IP, data, and voice solutions, and serves an array of diverse markets including government, military, media, aeronautical, industrial, recreational and maritime users anywhere in the world.
2.GlobeCast (France) A subsidiary of France Telecom, GlobeCast is a content management and delivery company operating a network of teleports and fiber to manage and transport 10 million hours of video and other rich media yearly.
3.Arqiva Satellite & Media (UK) With teleports and other facilities in Europe and the US, Arqiva provides permanent and occasional broadcast services as well as IP, voice, data and digital media networks.
4.Telespazio (Italy) A member of the Space Alliance between Finmeccanica and Thales, the Rome-based company employs around 1,700 staff and operates a network of four space centers and 25 sites spread all over the world.
5.CapRock Communications (USA) CapRock delivers world-class satellite communications to the world's harshest and most remote locations. With teleports in the US, Europe and Asia, CapRock provides services that enable its clients to communicate in real-time virtually anywhere in the world.
6.Globecomm Systems (USA) Globecomm integrates satellite into network applications in order to provide reliable, high-quality connection to the edge of the network, broadcast one-to-many, and support bandwidth-hungry applications for media & entertainment, telecom, enterprise and government markets.
7.Telecommunications Systems (USA) With teleports in Manassas, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, and Germany, TCS offers the flexibility and end-to-end solution needed for today's mission-critical communications.
8.Spacenet (USA) Spacenet is the leader in managed wireless VSAT and hybrid terrestrial networks for business and government users worldwide, plus satellite broadband Internet services for home and small office across the United States.
9.RRsat Global Communications (Israel) RRsat provides uplink, downlink, turnaround and playout services, offering end-to-end transmission for TV, radio and data channels. RRsat also offers production services including channel distribution and backhaul services, SNG and occasional feed services.
10.Satlynx (Luxembourg) A wholly owned subsidiary of GE, Satlynx is the leading provider of two-way satellite broadband communication services throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The company has two state-of-the-art operations centres located in Backnang, Germany and Leuk, Switzerland.
11.Emerging Markets Communications (USA) EMC provides of global satellite communications, utilizing a high quality, fully managed network, including maritime services, teleport services, and private, end-to-end satellite networks in more than 140 countries.
12.du (UAE) As the new telecom operator in the UAE, du provides a variety of integrated services including quad-play data, video and content services over fixed as well as mobile networks to residential and enterprise customers across the UAE.
13.Essel Shyam Communications (India) Essel Shyam is a telecom/IT service provider offering customized solutions for the specific business needs of our customers in segments including enterprises, broadcast & media companies, government security agencies along with various other customers.
14.Telepuerto Internacional Buenos Aires (Argentina) TIBA is a leading Latin American carrier for video, audio, data, and Internet, with teleports in Brazil and Uruguay and a large SNG fleet, providing service in 85 countries.
15.Satlink Communications (Israel) Satlink Communications is a leading provider of end-to-end solutions for content transmission over satellite platforms covering the Middle East and reaching all five continents.
16.CET Teleport (Germany) CET Teleport provides a wide range of media broadcasting and corporate VSAT services, as well as extensive disaster recovery facilities.
17.Central European Telecom Services (Germany) CETel is a major global provider of international Teleport & Satellite Services and Voice Termination with its headquarters in the heart of Germany.
18.M-Three Satcom (Italy) M-Three Satcom is a leading, independent company in broadcasting and data services, operating a state of the art teleport in Milan, Italy. The teleport is located in one main node of the Interroute Network, Connected to main PoP in Europe and rest of world, and able to receive fiber contribution from any location in Italy and surrounding countries as well as interconnect with other nodes and teleports for services exchange.
19.Jordan Media City (Jordan) Jordan Media city was launched in 2001 as the first private media city in the region with the aim of providing the regional and international media industry with a state of the art technologies.
20.ATCi (USA) ATCi offers end-to-end systems integration and technical services, including its proprietary Simulsat multibeam antenna, and Digital Headend Services from its Arizona teleport, to broadcast, cable and DTH content providers and cable MSOs and MDUs.
