One teleport operators called iDirect's decisions regarding the engineering of an IP transport and satellite transmission product of this type, "courageous.” In August, the company announced that it had received FIPS 140-2 Certification from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for its hub and remote satellite networking solutions.
