Top Teleport Operators

The Global Top Twenty ranks companies based on revenues from all customized communications sources and includes operators of teleports, satellite fleets and business-to-business fiber networks. The Global Top 20 Operators of 2012 had combined revenues of US$11.3 billion and grew 4.5% from $10.8 billion the prior year.  In order from largest to smallest, the Global Top Twenty of 2012 are:

Intelsat S.A. (Luxembourg) Through a global fleet of 50+ satellites and teleports based in the US, Europe and Asia, Intelsat offers communications services and managed solutions to customers in approximately 200 countries and territories.
2.SES (Luxembourg) SES is a network of satellite operators reaching 99% of the world's population via a fleet of 40 satellites, operating mainly through SES ASTRA in Europe, SES WORLD SKIES in North and South America, Africa the Middle East and Asia.
3.Eutelsat (France) Eutelsat provides capacity on over 20 satellites that offer television and radio broadcasting for consumers, professional video broadcasts, corporate networks, Internet services and mobile communications, and operates teleports and uplink facilities in more than a dozen European countries.
4.Telesat (Canada) Telesat operates a fleet of satellites and a network of teleports throughout the Americas. Telesat has a global fleet of 13 satellites with another 2 satellites under construction, and manages the operations of 13 additional satellites for third parties.
5.SingTel Satellite (Singapore) SingTel is Asia''s leading communications group providing a portfolio of services including voice and data over fixed, wireless, internet and satellite platforms as well as pay TV. It has a network of 37 offices in 19 countries and territories throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States.
6.Harris CapRock (USA) Harris CapRock delivers world-class satellite communications to the world's harshest and most remote locations. With teleports in the US, Europe and Asia, the company provides services that enable its clients to communicate in real-time virtually anywhere in the world.
7.EchoStar Satellite Services (USA) EchoStar delivers fixed satellite services from nine owned and leased satellites and operates a network of 10 full-service digital broadcast centers and leased fiber optic capacity with points of presence in approximately 150 cities.
8.GlobeCast (France) A subsidiary of France Telecom, GlobeCast is a content management and delivery company operating a network of teleports and fiber to manage and transport 10 million hours of video and other rich media yearly.
9.Arqiva Broadcast & Media (UK) Arqiva is a provider of co-located broadband satellite and broadcast services and is the trusted expert in content storage, manipulation, management and delivery. The company was named as Teleport Operator of the Year in 2003 and again in 2007.
10.Hispasat (Spain) Hispasat operates seven satellites serving Europe, the Americas and North Africa and providing broadband access to the Internet, interactive and multimedia services, and high quality video conferencing.
11.AsiaSat (China) AsiaSat operates three in-orbit satellites and Hong Kong-based teleports providing access to more than 50 countries and regions and two-thirds of the world's population.
12.Globecomm (Services revenue) (USA) Globecomm integrates satellite into network applications in order to provide reliable, high-quality connection to the edge of the network, broadcast one-to-many, and support bandwidth-hungry applications for media & entertainment, telecom, enterprise and government markets.
13.Encompass Digital Media (USA) Encompass owns and operates state-of-the-art, broadcast facilities throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Asia. The company’s mission-critical, media services provide broadcasters, cable networks, corporations and government entities with customized solutions for the management and distribution of content.
14.Thaicom Public Company Ltd (Thailand) Thaicom operates five satellites and provides transponder leasing, Internet services and telephone services from its Thaicom Satellite Station near Bangkok.
15.TeleCommunication Systems (Government Services) (USA) With teleports in Manassas, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, and Germany, TCS offers the flexibility and end-to-end solution needed for today's mission-critical communications.
16.RRsat Global Communications (Israel) RRsat provides uplink, downlink, turnaround and playout services, offering end-to-end transmission for TV, radio and data channels. RRsat also offers production services including channel distribution and backhaul services, SNG and occasional feed services.
17.MEASAT Satellite Systems (Malaysia) MEASAT is a premium supplier of satellite communication services to Asia’s leading broadcasters, DTH platforms and telecom operators. Operating four communications satellites, the MEASAT fleet is able to provide satellite capacity to over 145 countries representing 80% of the world’s population across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Europe and Australia.

18.Emerging Markets Communications (USA) EMC is a U.S. telecommunications provider delivering end-to-end satellite and terrestrial solutions throughout the remote regions of the world.
19.Gazprom (Russia) Gazprom provides access to the global internet via a separate communications channel and broadband services.
20.du (UAE) du provides a variety of integrated services including quad-play data, video and content services over fixed as well as mobile networks to residential and enterprise customers across the UAE.
21.Signalhorn Trusted Networks (Germany) A leading provider of global satellite and terrestrial communications, Signalhorn focuses on providing trusted and bespoke solutions to large enterprises, institutions and government organizations.
