Quintech's XRM 2250 L-band Matrix Switch features a complete 32 x 32 matrix, including redundant power supplies and controller, in a 6 U chassis. Systems are modular and expandable from 32 x 32 up to 512 x 512. This RF matrix is designed with a three-stage redundancy switching and splitting architecture for enhanced signal integrity.
All active component cards are easily accessible from the front panel and can be hot swapped in less than 30 seconds without tools or disconnecting cables. The switch's RF sensing and SNMP trap alarms monitor the status of power supplies, fans, control, temperature, and installed printed circuit boards. Input attenuation has been incorporated to balance input levels and maximize isolation.
Each XRM system is comprised of one or more modules that include
- XRD input distribution modules
- XRM matrix switch modules
- XRO output switch modules
The RF signals pass through no more than three modules, regardless of the system size: XRD> XRM> XRO.The number and type of modules depend on the desired number of inputs and outputs. Future system expansion is possible with additional system modules.
The XRM 2250's control features include
- alphanumeric naming of inputs and outputs
- access control to lock out unauthorized users
- RS232,422 and 485 serial control
- TCP/IP, Telnet and SNMP Ethernet control with support for two simultaneous TCP/IP sessions.
