WTA Posts New Standards for Teleport Certification Program
WTA has been developing a certification program for teleports, covering facilities, technical infrastructure and operating procedures. The goal is to create an objective, transparent and internationally accepted method to asses the quality of a teleport. Certification helps operators to document the quality of their operations for customers, and helps customers select teleport vendors delivering the price-performance level appropriate for their applications. We have posted the first draft of the Facility Certification Standards, and invite our membership to review them and provide comments for consideration by the committee. Comments can be submitted by emailing Executive Director Robert Bell.
