The Jordan Media City is centrally located next to the Jordan Radio and Television station. It is a short distance from Queen Alia International Airport, and just a few minutes away from Jordan''s main highway, which connects the country''s northern borders with it''s only port in Aqaba in the South. Since October 2003, state-of-the-art equipment were supplied to JMC for production, playout, encoding, multiplexing and uplinking to different satellites. State-of-the-art ingest servers and archive systems for 60 channels were installed at JMC. Located on a 40,000m square land area, Jordan Media City has a number of earth stations for reception and retransmission from Asian and European satellites to Nilesat 101, 102 and Arabsat 2D, 3A, 4A and Eutelsat (Hotbird).
