|2012 WTA Industry Dialogue Series @ IBC13h00-14h00 (1:00-2:00 PM) - Eutelsat Stand (Hall 1, Stand D59)
8 Sept 12
Eutelsat in conjunction with World Teleport Association is pleased to again host the Industry Dialogue Series at IBC. Once again, a panel of satellite, broadcast and communications technology experts will continue to explore the impact of Ka-band services on the world of media distribution in Europe and across the globe.
Broadcasters and media content providers everywhere remain deeply concerned and confused about the future of their networks, their profitability and their ability to select or to develop a proper technology strategy for an increasingly shifting "Gigabit World." There is no single answer and we are in a period of flux. However satellite providers, teleport operators, the industry’s technology and network integrators have accumulated broad experience, and are able to offer focus and guidance.
In addition, the satellite industry’s Ka-band offering has given the industry a significant boost in its ability to provide comprehensive solutions to industries challenged by the multi-screen, IP-driven demands of vast and fragmented audiences and users everywhere.
With one year of operating experience under its belt, Eutelsat and its industry partners invite you to the WTA’s annual dialogue to see what has taken place and what is ahead.
Please join Eutelsat and World Teleport Association moderator Louis A. Zacharilla at 13.00 (1:00 PM) for an hour-long discussion and interactive exchange.

Later in the month of September WTA will publish a white paper titled, "Teleports in a Gigabit World.” It will explore the continuing evolution of the Ka‐band market and examine the technology developments surrounding gigabit throughput. Through this publication, the association will look at the affect on service providers and the benefits to end-users of satellite services. A copy of this important white paper will be offered at no cost to attendees who are members of WTA (www.worldteleport.org).
