Thriving on Chaos in Satellite Content Distribution
14h00-15h00 (2:00-3:00 PM) - Arabsat Stand (Hall 1, Stand B38) Export to Your Calendar
14 Sept 2013
Arabsat in conjunction with World Teleport Association is pleased to host the Industry Dialogue Series at IBC. A panel of satellite, broadcast and communications technology experts will continue to explore the impact of satellite services on the world of media distribution across the globe.

The Middle East and Africa are among the fastest growing regions for satellite-delivered content, not to mention applications for ISPs, government and business. They are also currently the regions of the world undergoing the greatest upheaval in political, security and social terms. Doing business in these regions takes special expertise, regional experience and a mix of technologies appropriate to the needs of the market, from Ku to Ka-band, standard DTH bouquets to localized solutions. In this panel session, experts from media, satellite and technology companies discuss the needs of the region and offer examples of applications, deployments and partnerships that are making it possible for them to thrive on chaos.

Please join Arabsat and World Teleport Association moderator Robert Bell at 14.00 (2:00 PM) for an hour-long discussion and interactive exchange.

Satellites in a Connected World
11h00-12h00 (11:00AM - 12:00PM) - Eutelsat Balcony Suite BM21, Hall 1
15 Sept 2013
Eutelsat in conjunction with World Teleport Association is pleased to again host the Industry Dialogue Series at IBC. Once again, a panel of satellite, broadcast and communications technology experts will continue to explore the impact satellite services on the world of media distribution in Europe and across the globe.

Is Satellite TV ripe for disruption? Or will it experience "quiet riots?” We know about a multi-screen, OTT, streaming universe, and how it is expanding. We see it in our lives. However everyone in broadcast and non-broadcast markets asks how they can adapt and maintain their competitive edge, and what the satellite industry is doing to keep pace. In an entertaining morning dialogue, experts from media, satellite and tech worlds debate the pace of change and share real-world examples that they hope will keep satellite TV strong to last long. (Presented by World Teleport Association and hosted by Eutelsat.)

Extra Free Benefit:Attendees of the Dialogue will receive a free copy of World Teleport Association’s new Market Insights Report, "Broadcast Solutions for Non-Broadcast Markets.”
