The Pacific Telecommunications Council welcomes our members and all professionals in telecommunications and ICT endeavors to PTC’13, our 35th consecutive annual conference. The theme this year is "Capacity, Capability, Collaboration," three keys to building momentum and success in the new year.

Capacity: Continued economic expansion is driving the demand for data intensive applications as well as the growth of broadband markets, especially in the Asia-Pacific hemisphere. The right capacity in the right place at the right time and the right price are vital profit drivers.

Capability: This growth creates added demands for innovation and flexibility in technologies, systems design, investment, business plans, and marketing to capture the value flowing through the network from transport, services, and content providers.

Collaboration: Operating in an integrated information ecosystem requires collaboration up and down the value chain, between policy makers and markets; across networks, and with cloud, applications and content providers.

2013 Annual Industry Workshop @ PTC
Produced by World Teleport Association & SSPI
Sunday, January 20 – 9:00 – 10:30 AM

World Teleport Association and the Society of Satellite Professionals International are pleased to again produce the annual satellite Industry Dialogue and Workshop Series at PTC. Once again, a panel of satellite and telecommunications technology experts will explore the impact of Ka-band services on the world of media distribution in Asia, and around the globe.

Telecommunications providers and media content providers everywhere remain concerned about the future of their networks, their profitability and their ability to select or to develop a proper technology strategy for an emerging "Gigabit World." There is no single answer in this period of flux. However satellite providers, teleport operators, and network technology integrators are accumulating vast, diverse experience worldwide and offer focus and guidance.

The satellite industry’s Ka-band offering has given the industry a significant boost in its ability to provide comprehensive solutions to industries challenged by the multi-screen, IP-driven demands of vast and fragmented audiences and user. Asia included.

What is going to happen in Asia as carriers and satellite providers enter into new era where video dominate and telcos will continue to find their business models flattened?

World Teleport Association and the Society of Satellite Professionals International invite you to the annual workshop at PTC to see what is taking place, who is winningand what is ahead.

Please join World Teleport Association moderator Louis A. Zacharilla and a group of satellite and telecommunications industry leaders for an hour-long discussion and interactive exchange.
